Rainy day ideas near Tenby and Saundersfoot
It does rain in Pembrokeshire. When it does, there is still plenty to do close to Broadfield, from a big indoor day out with the children to a castle, a market town, or a long lunch at Jan'z on the park.

- Jan'z and BB's Bar on the park
- Folly Farm a short drive away
- Bus stop at the park entrance
With children
- Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo: a zoo, farm animals, a fairground and indoor play under one roof, a reliable full day out whatever the weather.
- Heatherton World of Activities, near Tenby: indoor and outdoor activities, from soft play and escape rooms to go-karts and adventure golf.
- Hangar 5 in Haverfordwest: trampolines, soft play and a cafe. Book ahead.
Castles and history
Carew Castle and Tidal Mill is a short drive from the park: a Norman castle beside Wales' only restored tidal mill. Pembroke Castle, the birthplace of Henry VII, is a huge, well-preserved castle about 20 minutes away. Check opening times before you go.
Towns to wander
Tenby's walled old town is full of shops, cafes and places to eat, and the harbour looks good in any weather. Narberth is a market town with independent shops, cafes and restaurants, a different pace to the seaside. Saundersfoot village has shops and cafes along the harbour front.
The 381 bus from the park entrance runs to Tenby, Saundersfoot, Kilgetty, Folly Farm, Narberth and Haverfordwest, so nobody has to drive.
On the park
Jan'z Restaurant and BB's Bar are a short walk from your pitch, for a long lunch, a drink at the bar, or Sunday lunch. Dogs are welcome inside. Opening times change through the season, so check janz.farm before you go.
The toilets and showers are refurbished and open 24 hours, and the washing up room is covered, so a wet evening is no trouble. The children's play area looks out over Carmarthen Bay for when the sun comes back.
